Erin Fangboner
Rescue Coordinator
Erin is a native Floridian born and raised in Sarasota County with a lifelong passion for the outdoors. An avid hiker, she has explored trails as far-reaching as parts of the Appalachian Trail in Georgia and Pennsylvania, and her deep familiarity with the local flora and fauna enriches every excursion. From her early days in 4-H and Girl Scouts, Erin has nurtured a profound love for nature that continues to inspire her adventures.
Â
Myakka State Park is her favorite haven, where she embraces the rugged simplicity of primitive camping at both the Mossy Oak and Bee Island sites. Whether trekking through diverse landscapes or setting up camp under starry skies, hiking and camping are at the heart of her outdoor pursuits.
Â
In Venice, Erin finds additional inspiration at Sleeping Turtles Preserve and Carlton Reserve. Ever in pursuit of the unexpected, she delights in photographing every remarkable moment nature offers—capturing everything from rare birds of prey to the smallest details of plant life. Her approach is spontaneous and open-hearted: whatever catches her eye becomes a part of her ever-growing collection of natural wonders.
