are not able to provide status updates at this time. Please know that if an animal is ready for release, the contact on the intake sheet will be contacted.

We’re working hard here at The Wildlife Center of Southwest Florida to rescue, rehabilitate, and release Florida’s wildlife. We ask that you please refrain from calling the center for status updates as we need to keep our dispatch line available for emergency calls. We know status updates are important however, we are experiencing a high number of time-sensitive emergencies every day.

If you are looking for any updates on a specific animal please email us at: patientstatus@wildlifeswfl.org with the following information:

  • Date of intake

  • Patient ID Number (if you have it)*

  • Your Name (and the name on the intake form if different)

  • Your Phone Number

  • Your Address

  • Address the animal came from (if not the same as your own)

*If you do not have the Patient ID Number please provide as much information as possible about the animal(s) brought in.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Please allow a minimum of 48 hours after the animal(s) is (are) brought in.

We cannot give updates on a patient via a phone call. If you have e-mailed us already we ask for your patience as we are working as fast as we can to get back to you.

Our rehabbers are addressing the status inquiries in the order in which they are received.
